Velux Openable Roof Windows  - Manual

A manual openable skylight will give you as much light and ventilation as an electric model. It is manually controlled and you have a choice of two different glazings on most of the sizes. Depending on the position of the skylight, opening and closing is controlled by a handle or a rod. Flyscreen is included. Login for extra discount !!!



VELUX VS - Manually operated top-hung skylights

Quality construction wood frame and sash with outer aluminium cladding.

  • Operated by base handle, for within reach situations, or by rod for out-of-reach use (to 285cms above head height).
  • Flyscreen fitted as standard.
  • Choice of 8 sizes, with the option of High Performance or Comfort decimal glazing on most sizes.
  • Maximum 5 stars on WERS Summer rating.
  • Complete with flashings for corrugated iron or tile roofs.

Control options

  • Window handle for operating within-reach skylights.
  • Telescopic rod control for out-of-reach situations. (180cm in length, extendable up to 285 cms.)
  • Short control rod. 60cm long. (Control rods will also operate manual blinds.)

Blinds

  • Choice of manually operated Pleated and Venetian blinds or electrically operated Blockout and Venetian blinds.
  • Tailor-made to exactly fit each size of skylight.
  • Easy to fit (see page 10 for more details).

For roofs below 15° pitch, skylights need to be raised to 15° and custom flashed. VELUX can assist with technical advice and drawings on this type of installation.

 

Velux Openable Roof windows  - Electric

An openable skylight not only gives you light but also ventilation. With an electric remote control, opening and closing windows and blinds is as easy as pushing a button. Sometimes you don’t even have to. VELUX electric openable skylights have rain sensors so when it starts raining, the window closes automatically. Flyscreen is included.

Blinds
